Business and art are considered different realms of influence, but I believe they are well-suited bedfellows. What does it look like when someone with an artist’s temperament and creative inclinations starts a business? The ArtistCEO podcast tells that story. [Spoiler alert: it’s me]

The project also served as an experiment in marketing and art-making: can art for art’s sake—that honors the creative process and eschews ROI metrics—serve as viable marketing to drive brand awareness and lead gen? If art is used for commercial purposes (even for oneself), does it cease to be “pure” art?

Beyond a podcast: are these ideas culturally relevant, and can we help transform the world of work (and society’s valuation of typically ‘feminine, creative, intuitive’ skillsets) by showing and telling how the ‘artist’ and ‘ceo’ benefit each other?
